Work with me

I’ve worked as a speaker for many years, telling my life story with all of its tricky lows and wonderful highs. I draw from those experiences to offer first-hand stories of leadership, teamwork and grit. As a public and motivational speaker I have worked internationally in front of many audiences including BT, AirPlus, Allianz and Sky. My speeches have covered everything from Company structure reform through to empowering employees.

If you want a speaker who connects profoundly with each and every member of your organisation and a speaker with a story to tell, who tells it with warmth, humour and honesty - I'm your man. My goal is for my audience to leave feeling energised and with their idea of what's possible being just a little bigger than before.

That positive role model

I work very closely with colleges and schools, tailoring mentoring sessions to fit the needs of their students. I support and challenge individuals to think differently. I use games and tools to give guidance and direction to groups, highlighting the transferable skills needed to succeed in sport and life. I share with the athletes my own experiences in elite sport and the lessons that I learned from them. Confidence, attendance, behaviour or focus, I can personalise the programme with the help of the tutors to encourage the very best from their students. My mentoring is grounded in my own development as a player and captain in the Great Britain wheelchair rugby squad.

Charity and Community

I've been the beneficiary of so much generosity in my life. I'm now in a position to pass the generosity on to others, it's the least I can do.

As an ambassador for Wooden Spoon I help to promote the outstanding projects that they run.  As a patron for Panathlon I regularly attend their amazing inter-school and county competitions. I've even tried my hand at fundraising by doing the 20k arm-cycle leg of a team triathlon. The Swale Youth Development Fund, for which I'm a trustee, was founded 25 years ago by my very own granddad. It provides children and young adults across Swale with the financial support they need to concentrate on their talents and pursue their goals.

It's a pleasure and a privilege to be the head coach of Canterbury Hellfire Wheelchair Rugby Club and to pass on whatever knowledge and wisdom I've accumulated over my sporting career. Visit the club Facebook page for more information. I support clubs from various sports on their pathways to success if you are looking for a fresh approach.
